Research profile
Published research on metabolic
NAD+. Precursor trials explore insulin sensitivity and metabolic endpoints, with mixed results.
NAD+Longevity
Scores summarise published research, most of it laboratory and animal work. They describe what has been studied, not results in people. For research use only.
Evidence profile
DevelopingExtensive basic science on NAD+ biology; human studies of supplied NAD+ are small and short.
Grades describe how much of each kind of research exists, not what a compound does. Conservative by design.
Cited findings
Reviewed in Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology for its roles in cellular processes during ageing.
The electron carrier of glycolysis and mitochondrial respiration, and fuel for sirtuin and PARP enzymes.
A randomised crossover trial found the precursor nicotinamide riboside was well tolerated and stimulated NAD+ metabolism in middle-aged and older adults.
The first human study of directly infused NAD+ found it rapidly cleared from plasma, with metabolites consistent with NAD+-consuming enzymes.
Cell Metabolism reviewed the in vivo evidence for NAD+-boosting molecules.
The coenzyme at the centre of cellular-energy and ageing research — NAD+ declines with age, and restoring it is one of biology’s most active fields.
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is an endogenous coenzyme present in all living cells, not a peptide. It exists in an oxidised form (NAD+) and a reduced form (NADH) and participates as an electron carrier in redox reactions, including those of glycolysis and the citric acid cycle, and as a substrate for sirtuin and PARP enzyme families. Supplied here as lyophilised material for laboratory research. Findings described in the literature are from laboratory and animal models and are not statements about outcomes in people.
Mechanism, as studied
NAD+ is both a currency and a fuel: it shuttles electrons for energy production and is consumed by the enzymes that repair and regulate the cell.

Quality is documented by independent Janoshik Analytical reports (compound identity and HPLC purity) linked from each product page, with unpublished certificates available on request. Each Certificate of Analysis names the compound and reports its HPLC purity; published certificates are at livingwaterlabs.co.za/verify and any other is sent on request.
Yes. Our certificates are independent Janoshik Analytical reports naming the compound and its HPLC purity. Published certificates are readable at livingwaterlabs.co.za/verify; for a compound not yet listed there, ask us on WhatsApp and we send it before you order.
Peptides should be stored at -20°C in a sealed, dry environment. Once reconstituted, solutions should be stored at 4°C and used within 30 days, or aliquoted and stored at -80°C for longer-term stability. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
