Research peptides for fertility researchers in South Africa
Fertility research in South Africa runs through university reproductive-biology departments, andrology laboratories and the research arms of IVF clinics in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Its peptide literature is the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis itself: the hormones that drive it, the neuropeptides above it, and the endpoints by which it is measured.
This page is the research map. It covers how the axis is studied, what the gonadotropin literature measured, where kisspeptin and oxytocin fit, and how a laboratory sources these compounds in South Africa. Fertility treatment is clinical medicine for a fertility clinic; this page describes research only, and the compounds are supplied for laboratory research. Our dedicated fertility research hub goes deeper.
The gonadotropin literature is the oldest in the field. Human chorionic gonadotropin acts at the LH receptor and is studied for Leydig-cell testosterone production and for preserving spermatogenesis alongside testosterone therapy in men; human menopausal gonadotropin carries FSH as well as LH activity and gonadotropin combinations are studied in subfertile men with semen parameters as endpoints. These are human studies with clinical endpoints, published over decades.
The upstream literature is newer. Kisspeptin neurons integrate metabolic and stress signals at the top of the axis; kisspeptin infusion in healthy men enhanced limbic responses to sexual and bonding cues on fMRI; and in mice kisspeptin-10 acting on osteoclasts prevented age-related bone loss. Oxytocin research spans social cognition, where a large intranasal trial in autism was negative, and energy balance. Semen-parameter and sperm-DNA-fragmentation methodology is the measurement literature that binds all of it.

hCG
Research vial
Acts at the LH/hCG receptor and is studied for Leydig-cell testosterone production and for preserved spermatogenesis alongside testosterone therapy in men. Human clinical literature; listed for laboratory research.
The neuropeptide at the top of the reproductive axis, integrating metabolic and stress signals. Human fMRI work on limbic responses and a 2024 mouse bone study extend its literature beyond reproduction.
Studied in social cognition, where a large intranasal trial in autism did not improve social functioning, and in energy balance in small crossover studies. A cautionary example of hype outrunning trials.
Reproductive-biology departments and andrology labs in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban receive parcels from our Johannesburg hub in one to two business days with The Courier Guy. Weekday orders paid before noon dispatch the same afternoon. Lyophilised vials ship sealed with storage guidance; campus PUDO lockers are selectable at checkout. Shipping is free over R2,500 and each compound's Janoshik certificate is linked from its product page.
No. Fertility treatment is prescribed and monitored by a fertility clinic or endocrinologist after semen analysis and blood tests. This page summarises research only.
Are gonadotropins supplied for human use?
No. Everything listed is supplied strictly for laboratory research purposes.
Where is the deeper reading?
Our fertility research hub covers the HPG axis, gonadotropin comparisons and semen-parameter methodology with PubMed citations.
What does the certificate state?
Compound identity and HPLC purity on an independent Janoshik Analytical report.
