"Peptides for fat loss" covers two quite different generations of compound, and conflating them is the most common mistake in the category.
The older generation is the growth-hormone fragments and metabolic peptides — AOD-9604, fragment 176-191, MOTS-c, 5-Amino-1MQ. Their literature is thinner, mostly preclinical, and the effect sizes reported are modest. They remain research subjects for exactly that reason.
The newer generation is the incretin receptor agonists — the compounds people now mean when they say GLP-1. Tirzepatide engages two incretin receptors; retatrutide engages three. Their published literature is the largest in the metabolic space, which is why the category has reorganised itself around them.
