02Overview

What SNAP-8 is

The eight-amino-acid cousin of argireline, built to interfere with the protein machinery behind expression lines.

Each vial contains 10mg of lyophilised SNAP-8, supplied as a sterile powder for reconstitution. SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) is an octapeptide extension of argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-3). Both are patterned on the N-terminus of SNAP-25 and are designed to compete for a place in the SNARE complex, the protein machinery that releases neurotransmitter at the neuromuscular junction; reduced vesicle release is the proposed basis of their study as topical expression-line ingredients. Recent clinical-research work has delivered acetyl octapeptide-3 by dissolving hyaluronic-acid microneedle patches to get around the limited skin penetration of these peptides. It holds no registration as a medicine in South Africa in this form and is supplied here strictly as research material. Findings described are from published laboratory, animal and clinical-research literature and are not statements about outcomes for any reader.

03How should research peptides be stored upon receipt?

Peptides should be stored at -20°C in a sealed, dry environment. Once reconstituted, solutions should be stored at 4°C and used within 30 days, or aliquoted and stored at -80°C for longer-term stability. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

04How long does delivery take in South Africa?

Orders are packed and dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered door-to-door by tracked courier anywhere in South Africa. A tracking number is emailed to you when the courier collects. Standard courier is R130.
