Immunomodulation

Also known as: immunomodulatory · immune modulation · immunoregulation

Adjusting the immune system up or down toward balance — the research theme behind thymic and defence peptides.

Immunomodulation means shifting immune activity toward a more balanced state — enhancing a weak response or calming an overactive one, rather than simply suppressing or stimulating it.

It is the central research theme for thymic peptides such as Thymosin Alpha-1 and Thymalin, and for defence peptides such as LL-37, all studied in the immune-support category.
