Into muscle tissue — a delivery route with faster absorption than subcutaneous, referenced in some research protocols.
Intramuscular (IM) means into the body of a muscle, which is rich in blood supply. Compared with the subcutaneous route it generally gives faster absorption of a reconstituted solution into circulation.
