Underpaid, overpaid or late? How we handle every Bitcoin payment case
Exactly what happens if your Bitcoin payment is short, too much, split into several sends, or sent after the price timer runs out.

The price window
Your rand total is fixed when you place the order. The Bitcoin amount is held for 30 minutes. If your payment is first seen by the network inside that window (we allow a 10-minute grace on top), you are covered even if it confirms later.
Every case
- Short payment: the page shows the exact remainder. Send it to the same address and the payments are added together.
- Several sends: they are added up; the order confirms when the total is covered.
- Overpayment: the order goes through and we contact you to refund the difference or add it as store credit.
- Sent after the timer ran out: if the amount still covers the order at the price you were quoted, it is accepted. Otherwise the page shows what is left at a fresh price.
- Tiny amounts (dust) below 1,000 satoshis are ignored — they cost more to move than they are worth.
- A dropped or replaced transaction: the page goes back to "waiting" and you can send again.
You never need to send proof
The network confirmation is the receipt. The page checks every few seconds while open and every few minutes in the background when closed, then books your courier automatically.
