How to pay with Bitcoin from Luno (step by step)

Before you start

You need Bitcoin in your Luno wallet worth at least the order total plus Luno's send fee. Luno shows the exact fee on screen before you confirm; it changes with network traffic and is often lower on weekends.

Place your order first and choose Bitcoin at checkout. 5% comes off the goods. The payment page that opens next is the only place your payment address appears.

Steps

1. 01Open your payment pageAfter placing the order you land on your Bitcoin payment page. Keep it open on your computer, or open the link from your confirmation email on another device.
2. 02In Luno, tap SendOpen the Luno app, go to your Bitcoin wallet and choose Send.
3. 03Scan the QR codeScan the QR on the payment page. It fills in both the address and the exact amount. If you paste instead, copy both from the payment page and double-check the first and last six characters of the address.
4. 04Check the amountSend the exact BTC amount shown. Luno adds its fee on top; the amount that arrives must match the payment page.
5. 05ConfirmApprove the send in Luno. Within seconds the payment page shows "Payment seen"; about 10–30 minutes later it shows "Confirmed" and your order is booked with the courier automatically.

If something looks off

• The price is held for 30 minutes. If the timer runs out before you send, tap "Get a new price".
• Sent a little too little? The page shows exactly what is left to send to the same address.
• Never send to an address someone gives you on WhatsApp or by email. Always copy it from your own payment page.
