BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — a chain of fifteen amino acids — whose sequence is derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice. It is one of the most widely studied research peptides in the repair-and-recovery category.
Pre-clinical literature focuses on its apparent role in angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), tendon and ligament healing, and protection of the gut lining. It is frequently investigated alongside TB-500, the two being the classic pairing in tissue-repair research protocols.
