MECHANISM OF ACTION

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protective sequence found in human gastric juice. In animal and cell studies it is reported to interact with the nitric-oxide (NO) system and to up-regulate growth-factor and receptor pathways involved in angiogenesis (new blood-vessel formation), influencing how connective tissues such as tendon, ligament and gut lining respond to injury in the laboratory.
