KPV

Also known as: Lys-Pro-Val · alpha-MSH C-terminal tripeptide

A tripeptide (lysine-proline-valine) from the C-terminus of alpha-MSH, studied for anti-inflammatory and gut-calming effects.

KPV is a tripeptide corresponding to the C-terminal three residues (lysine-proline-valine) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Despite its small size it retains much of the parent hormone’s anti-inflammatory signalling.

Research interest centres on inflammation of the gut and skin: it is studied for its ability to reduce pro-inflammatory signalling inside cells, which is why it appears in gut-health and recovery research contexts, often alongside BPC-157.
