DOCUMENTED RESEARCH AREAS

  • Powerful anti-inflammatory action
  • Calms gut inflammation
  • Balances immune response
  • Eases flare-ups and swelling
  • Soothes skin irritation
  • Works oral or injectable

MECHANISM OF ACTION

KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Laboratory studies report that it is taken up by cells via the PepT1 transporter and dampens pro-inflammatory NF-kB signalling, reducing inflammatory markers in cell and rodent models of intestinal inflammation.

  • Enters cells via the PepT1 di/tri-peptide transporter
  • Inhibits NF-kB pro-inflammatory signalling in intestinal cell models
  • Reduces inflammatory markers in rodent colitis models
