Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide of the secretin/glucagon family.

  • Reviews VIP/PACAP receptor biology in CNS and inflammatory disorders.
  • In models, VIP promoted intestinal secretory-cell differentiation and reduced radiation injury.
  • Studied VIP-loaded nanoparticles for immune modulation and stem-cell support in tendon repair models.

OVERVIEW

VIP (HSDAVFTDNYTRLRKQMAVKKYLNSILN-NH2) is a research-grade peptide supplied by Living Water Labs for laboratory investigation. Vasoactive intestinal peptide, a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide — 10 mg lyophilised powder per vial.. Each published certificate is an independent Janoshik Analytical report naming the compound and its HPLC purity; certificates not yet published can be requested. The summary below outlines documented mechanisms and study areas reported in the research literature.

DOCUMENTED RESEARCH AREAS

  • ▸28-amino-acid neuropeptide of the secretin/glucagon family
  • ▸Acts through VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors (shared with PACAP)
  • ▸Studied in immune regulation, intestinal biology and neuroprotection
  • ▸Reduced radiation-induced intestinal injury in laboratory models
  • ▸10 mg lyophilised vial — laboratory research use only

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide of the secretin/glucagon family. Acting through the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors (shared with PACAP) it relaxes smooth muscle, stimulates intestinal secretion and regulates immune-cell function, and it is studied as a neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory signal.

  • ▸Signals through VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors, shared with PACAP
  • ▸Regulates intestinal secretion and smooth-muscle tone
  • ▸Studied as an immune-regulating, anti-inflammatory signal
