Bacteriostatic Water

Sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, the standard solvent for reconstituting peptides so a multi-use vial stays sterile.
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water for injection that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol is bacteriostatic — it inhibits the growth of bacteria — which lets a reconstituted vial be entered multiple times over a period of study without spoiling.
This is what distinguishes it from plain sterile water (single-use, no preservative). It is the default solvent for reconstituting research peptides for exactly that reason.
It is kept refrigerated once opened and used with sterile technique. Living Water Labs stocks it in research-appropriate vial sizes.
