Elastin

The stretchy structural protein that lets skin and tissues recoil — studied alongside collagen in skin-remodelling research.
Elastin is the protein that gives skin, blood vessels and lungs their elasticity — the ability to stretch and snap back. It works alongside collagen: collagen provides strength, elastin provides recoil.
Like collagen, elastin declines with age, contributing to sagging and wrinkles. Copper peptides such as GHK-Cu are studied for supporting both collagen and elastin as part of dermal remodelling.
