Epitalon

Also known as: Epithalon · Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly · AEDG tetrapeptide

A tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) studied for telomerase activation, circadian regulation and longevity research.

Epitalon (also spelled Epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide — alanine-glutamate-aspartate-glycine — modelled on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. It is the flagship compound of the longevity / bioregulator research category.

Its most-cited research concerns telomerase activation and telomere maintenance, together with normalisation of melatonin rhythm and antioxidant effects. Decades of peer-reviewed work, much of it Russian, underpin its longevity literature.

It is classed as a peptide bioregulator — a short peptide thought to act on gene expression in a tissue-specific way. Supplied for research purposes only, HPLC-verified with a Certificate of Analysis.
