Semax

Also known as: ACTH(4-10) analog · Nootropic peptide

A synthetic analog of a fragment of ACTH, studied for neuroprotection, focus and cognitive performance.

Semax is a synthetic peptide based on a fragment (positions 4–10) of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), stabilised with a proline-glycine-proline tail so it resists rapid breakdown.

Its research literature centres on neuroprotection and cognition: modulation of BDNF and nerve growth factor, dopaminergic and serotonergic signalling, and effects studied in the context of focus, memory and recovery from neurological stress.

Semax and Selank are the two best-known Russian regulatory peptides and are often studied as a pair. Supplied for research purposes only, HPLC-verified with a Certificate of Analysis.
