Semaglutide in South Africa — Ozempic®, Wegovy® and Rybelsus® Explained
One molecule, three brand names, two routes of administration. If you searched "semaglutide", this is the map — and a plain statement of what we do and do not supply.
WHAT WE DO NOT SUPPLY
We do not sell Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Rybelsus® or semaglutide in any form, and we are not a pharmacy. Our tirzepatide, retatrutide and eloralintide are research compounds for laboratory use only — not medicines, and not for human or veterinary use.

Research-grade GLP compounds from LWL
Live price and stock. Lyophilised research vials, Janoshik HPLC purity certificates, dispatched from Johannesburg. For laboratory research use only.
Semaglutide is a single-receptor GLP-1 agonist. The research compounds LWL supplies sit further along the same pharmacology: tirzepatide adds GIP, retatrutide adds GIP and glucagon, and eloralintide targets the amylin receptor. Research-grade vials, for laboratory research.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Novo Nordisk. It reaches the market under three brand names: Ozempic® and Wegovy® are once-weekly injectable pens at different strengths for different approved uses, and Rybelsus® is a once-daily tablet — one of the few oral peptide medicines, made possible by an absorption enhancer co-formulated with the peptide.
All three are registered prescription medicines, obtained through a healthcare provider and a licensed pharmacy. "Semaglutide" sold online outside that route — as a vial, a "compounded" preparation or a pen with an unfamiliar label — is not any of those brands, whatever the listing says.
We do not stock semaglutide in any form. The incretin compounds we hold are newer molecules studied in the same research field: tirzepatide (a GIP/GLP-1 dual agonist), retatrutide (a GLP-1/GIP/glucagon triple agonist) and eloralintide (an amylin receptor agonist), each supplied as a lyophilised research vial for laboratory use with Janoshik HPLC purity documentation.

Questions
Do you sell semaglutide?
No. We do not stock semaglutide in any form — not the branded medicines and not as a research vial. The incretin research compounds we hold are tirzepatide, retatrutide and eloralintide.
What is the difference between Ozempic® and Wegovy®?
Both are Novo Nordisk pens containing semaglutide, at different strengths and for different approved uses. Rybelsus® is the oral tablet form. Only a healthcare provider can advise on any of them.
Is tirzepatide a type of semaglutide?
No. They are different molecules. Semaglutide acts on the GLP-1 receptor; tirzepatide acts on both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Our tirzepatide is a research compound for laboratory use, not a medicine.
What is "compounded semaglutide"?
A preparation made up by a compounding pharmacy rather than the manufacturer. It is not Ozempic® or Wegovy®, and quality depends entirely on who made it. Our page on compounded GLP-1 preparations covers how to tell what you are being offered.
