CJC-1295 without DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)
Also known as Mod GRF 1-29 · modified GRF (1-29) · tetrasubstituted GRF · CJC-1295 no DAC
A stabilised 29-amino-acid GHRH fragment with four amino-acid substitutions — the short-acting cousin of CJC-1295 with DAC.
In 60 seconds
GHRH(1-29) analogues were studied clinically from the 1980s (GH secretion, paediatric growth). Older GHRH(1-29) studies reported short-term tolerability; GHRH analogues are prohibited in sport.
- Measured GH responses to GHRH(1-29)-NH2 and a D-Ala2-substituted analogue in normal men across a dose range.
- Systematic substitution scans of hGHRH(1-29)-NH2 identified positions that yield potent agonists.
- Identified GHRH analogues in powders seized by Danish customs using LC-HRMS.
Mechanism
GHRH(1-29)-NH2 is the shortest fully active portion of GHRH. Substitutions at positions 2, 8, 15 and 27 protect it from enzymatic breakdown, giving a short GH pulse at the pituitary GHRH receptor rather than the days-long elevation of the DAC version.
Research status
GHRH(1-29) analogues were studied clinically from the 1980s (GH secretion, paediatric growth). The modified version circulates as a research peptide and has been found in seized doping material.
